Domain Investing Is...

Although it is a pretty simple term, let’s get deeper into what domain investing is. You invest in the domain when you buy a domain name and sell it for more after. Usually, domain investors first create criteria for domain names, then find domains according to it and buy them. Then investors sell those domain names to other investors or people who want to use the domains for a website.

First of all, you will need an inventory of domain names before you can buy and sell them. Domain investors that have been selling domains for quite a while know the best sources to get domain names from. Also, while real estate investors, for example, are happy to get a 10% or 20% return on their investments, but that isn’t the case for domain investors. They often sell domains for even 10 times more from the original price.

You have to remember that by investing in domain names, you invest in an inefficient market, which always gives rise to big profit opportunities. It can be a very profitable investing idea, but it requires a lot of patience and knowledge.
