Report Invalid E-mail Addresses to ICANN

Sometimes Whois has invalid e-mail information of some domain owners and it can be frustrating if you need to cant that person. You first can ask Whois to contact that exact owner, but sometimes they can’t contact him as well. In this case, you can file a complaint to ICANN. They have a specific form that is used to report a domain name that has invalid Whois information. This form is called “Whois Inaccuracy Complaint Form”, and you can file this complaint by just visiting the ICANN website and finding the right form.

Of course, the information on Whois is required to always be updated, as sometimes it is very important for owners of domains to be contacted by someone in particular, and vice versa. But it is not always possible for them to keep everyone’s information updated. Most people don’t want to file a complaint against them though and don’t want to go through filling in their information on the ICANN website. People would rather search for that person’s information using other means, than contacting ICANN.
