Obtaining Google reCAPTCHA Site Key and Secret Key

Google ReCAPTCHA is widely used across the Internet by different kinds of websites and blogs in order to protect the site from abuse. For instance, TBC-Hosting also has this service provided for WordPress websites. To integrate Google reCAPTCHA in an application, the app or web domain is registered with Google’s reCAPTCHA service. And after you register the domain, Google will provide you with reCAPTCHA keys.

There are two different kinds of keys – a site key, and a secret key. Basically, a site key is a public key, and a secret key is a private key respectively. You can obtain these keys by registering your site with Google’s reCAPTCHA service.

So what are those keys use for? The Site Key is used to render the reCAPTCHA within a page and the Secret Key is used for performing server-side validation. The keys are unique to the domain they are registered to.
